How much does it cost?
The programme is run on a direct debit basis. Referrals will be charged £25 a month for the duration of the 12 week programme. Upon completion of the programme, a further 4 weeks will be offered at a discounted rate of £25.
This price includes an initial induction and unlimited access to the gym, swimming facilities and low level group exercise classes, including Aqua fit, throughout the 12-week period. For more information on class times, please see the exercise referral timetable below.

What can I expect from the scheme?
A 3 month support plan designed to suit your
ability, needs and goals, with continued help
and support throughout. Our support scheme incorporates unlimited use of the gym, swimming sessions, low level
group exercise classes including aqua fit. A qualified health and wellbeing consultant will be allocated to help you. Together, you will develop a personalised plan and regularly review your progress in order to:

'Bring a buddy' scheme
Bring a ‘buddy’. If you want to bring a family member or friend to help support you through your journey then please speak to a member of the team about our buddy scheme.
Am I eligible?
Eligible clients include those who:
- Are currently inactive and;
- Suffer with one or more of the specific medical conditions below.
If the client meets these requirements, they can either be referred into the scheme through their GP, nominated health professional or through self-referral, all using the forms below.
- Asthma
- Obesity (BMI over 30)
- Diabetes
- Osteoarthritis
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Osteoporosis
- Simple Mechanical (non-specific) back pain
- Total joint replacement
How can physical activity help me?
Physical activity is an essential aspect of good health, managing conditions and preventing illness. By increasing your level of physical activity, you can support your body in:

Group health and wellbeing exercise classes
Steady and strong
Improve strength and balance, helping you live independently for longer and avoid falls. Movements are done both seated and standing, with chair support for those who require it.
Forever active
Low impact group class to maintain and improve co-ordination, flexibility and strength.
Aqua fit
A total body workout that uses water to support you and as resistance.
Healthy backs
Specifically designed to help lower back issues.
Chair-based exercise class
Very low intensity for people wanting to improve strength and posture
Cardiac rehab
These classes are for people recovering from heart attacks, heart surgery and cardiac interventions.
ESCAPE-Pain
A course designed to help people suffering from back, hip or knee pain. Learn how to manage your pain.
Breathe with ease (COPD)
A friendly group exercise class enabling individuals with lung conditions to help manage breathlessness in a safe and social environment.
