Graves Health and Sports Centre pool closure FAQs

The following information is to support you whilst the pools at Graves Health and Sports Centre are temporarily closed.

You will be aware that the main pool and teaching pool will be closed from Thursday 17th March to Sunday 20th March. This is due to essential maintenance to repair the pool tiling.

Although the pools will continue to be unavailable for use during the closure, all other leisure centre facilities, including the gym and fitness classes, will continue to operate as normal.

I’m a Premium member, how does the closure affect me? 

Both pools will be unavailable for use during the closure whilst maintenance work is underway, but all other leisure centre facilities, including the gym and fitness classes will operate as normal during this time. Whilst our pool is closed, you will be able to use the swimming pool facilities at Thorncliffe Health and Sports Centre, Rotherham Leisure Complex, Aston-cum-Aughton Leisure Centre, Wath Upon Dearne Leisure Centre and Maltby Leisure Centre.

I’m a Swimming member, how does the closure affect me? 

During this time, whilst our pools are closed, you will be able to use the swimming pool facilities at Thorncliffe Health and Sports Centre, Rotherham Leisure Complex, Aston-cum-Aughton Leisure Centre, Wath Upon Dearne Leisure Centre and Maltby Leisure Centre.

I'm a Places member, how does the closure affect me?

As the pools will be unavailable, your nearest place to swim will be Aston-Cum-Aughton Leisure Centre, where you can pay per swim as you do currently at Graves Health and Sports Centre.

I’m a swim lesson member, how does this affect me? 

Unfortunately, swim lessons will be cancelled, however you will not be charged and will receive a refund for any lessons that were due to take place during this period of time.

I normally attend aqua classes; how does this affect me?

During this time, both pools will be closed. Therefore, all aqua sessions will be cancelled.

Do I need to pay for the car park at the other centres? 

No – car parking is free at all other centres available to you.
