NPLQ Courses
The NPLQ is the most awarded lifeguard qualification in the UK and Ireland and is also internationally recognised. We regularly run NPLQ courses here at Leiston Leisure Centre. Learn valuable life saving skills and become qualified for a job in lifeguarding with part time and full time options available.
And why stop there? If you become a lifeguard at a Places Leisure Centre, you will have the opportunity to progress your career in leisure, with potential Placemaker, Placemaker Manager, and Duty Manager roles available in the centre.
Course details
Participants must be 16 years of age by assessment date and be able to complete the following pre-requisites:
- Jump/dive into deep water
- Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds
- Swim 100 metres continuously on front & back in deep water
- Tread water for 30 seconds
- Surface dive to the floor of the pool
- Climb out unaided
February 2022 Course Dates
- Monday 21st - Saturday 26th
- Sunday 27th February for assessment day
- 8.00am - 5.00pm
Pricing:
- £250 per course (plus £15 to be paid direct to RLSS on successful completion)
