The Lido is opening in April!

April opening for soon to be revamped Tooting Bec Lido

We’re opening for everyone from April 1^st – a chance to enjoy an open-air swim earlier in the year

Swimmers will be able to enjoy a dip in the welcoming waters of the Tooting Bec Lido earlier than usual this Spring as we open our doors to the general public from the beginning of April.

Normally the Lido is open only to members of the South London Swimming Club between October and May. But this year we will be re-opening to all visitors from April 1 to give people more time to enjoy a healthy and bracing outdoor swim - ahead of our £3m council-funded revamp later this year.

The money will be used to replace both pump houses at the lido with a single building incorporating a modern and more effective UV filtration system, along with new pipework, pool liner and electrical substation.

This £3m investment will mean the pool’s important infrastructure is safeguarded for the next 50 years!
