Opening FAQ's

Wokingham Leisure Centre @ Carnival Hub is opening on 29th June 2022, the centre is designed to be your new home away from home – your local activity and fitness hub, with an exceptional range of activities, thoughtfully developed and strategically designed to accommodate all age groups and abilities.

What is the address of the Centre?

Wokingham Leisure Centre, Wellington Road, Wokingham, RG40 2AF

 

What are the centre's opening hours?

The centre opening hours will be:

  • Monday to Friday 6.00am-10.30pm
  • Saturday 7.00am-8.00pm
  • Sunday 7.00am - 8.00pm

 

Does the centre have parking?

Yes, we you will be able to park in Carnival Car Park for a maximum of 2 hours for free.   Customers will be asked to sign in on a digital kiosk and their vehicle registration within 20 minutes of their arrival.  We have space for over 500 vehicles, 17 blue badge spaces and 4 ports for electric cars.

 

I don't drive, is there a bus route?

There is a bus stop next to the train station, Reading buses is the main operator for this area, please visit their website for the most up to date timetable.

 

What is the Places Locker app?

Our Places Locker app is your easy to use, go-to fitness partner. It tracks your activity - both in the centre and out - and, features an extensive library of virtual workouts and fitness programmes.

You can also use the app to easily book all of your sessions and classes and, members can access their membership QR code. Simply download the app, go to membership area and scroll down to 'My QR Codes' where you will find your card number in a QR format, ready to scan for easy entry into the centre from your first visit.

I have limited mobility; how do I access the pool?

We will have a number of options for you to access the pool in the way that is best for you. Options include:

  • Pool hoists
  • Easy access steps
  • Accessible pool lift

 

What is a splash pad?

Our splash pad is a designated area of the pool hall, created as a carnival themed water playground, where toddlers and younger children can enjoy hours of fun. It’s a wonderful introduction to the joys of water in a safe environment.

Health Suite

What does the Health Suite include?

Our state-of-the-art health suite will include:

  • Sauna
  • Steam room
  • Citrus steam room
  • Salt room
  • Heated loungers
  • Day beds

 

Do I get the Health Suite as part of my membership?

All Premium Plus members will have the Health Suite included in their membership.

 

Do I have to be a member to use The Health Suite?

The Health Suite will be available on a pay-as-you-go basis. 

 

Where is the Health Suite located?

The Health Suite is located on the ground floor and has its own dedicated changing rooms and lockers. 

 

What are the opening hours of the Health Suite?

Monday - Friday: 6.30am - 10.00pm

Weekends: 7.30am - 8.00pm
