Calling all runners!
Are you planning to run in the 2022 TCS London Marathon? We want to help!
Across the country, March marks the month when placements for the London Marathon are announced and/or runners secure their place with their chosen charity. March also marks the beginning of what, for many, is the long, personal journey of marathon training.
If you or someone you know is planning to run in this year’s London Marathon, we want to help!
Places Leisure is celebrating the dedication and determination it takes to train for a marathon with our inaugural, Jogger’s Journey. We’re giving away free, 12-month, Premium Plus memberships at our leisure centres up and down the country to lucky individuals. We’re also including free training support sessions with a fitness trainer, plus a free starter kit to kick off your journey!
To win one of our memberships, we want to hear your reasons for running. Perhaps you’re running for health reasons? Perhaps you’re running to raise money for a charity near and dear to your heart? Perhaps you’re an avid runner and love to compete. Whatever your reasons are, we want to hear your story and we’ll choose the best, most compelling stories as our winners. No matter what your reason is for running – no matter what your fitness level is – we want to hear from you and support you on this journey.
Nominees will be selected by a panel of judges. Each winner will receive a free 12-month Premium Plus membership, which allows you to train at any of our sites across the country.

Full terms and conditions
I. By entering the Jogger’s Journey competition, you are agreeing to the competition’s terms and conditions.
II. The Jogger’s Journey competition is being run by the Promoter (Places for People Leisure Management Ltd).
Eligibility to enter
I. The Jogger’s Journey competition is open to all UK and ROI residents aged 18 and over (the Promoter’s staff members are excluded from the competition).
II. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to run the 2022 London Marathon.
III. A maximum of one entry per individual is permitted.
IV. The Jogger’s Journey competition is free to enter.
How to enter
I. Entries must be made by filling in our online form. If you need help and/or are not able to enter via our online form, please contact 01276 418200 for help with your entry.
II. Incomplete, illegal, misdirected or late entries will not be accepted. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Responsibility cannot be accepted for lost, damaged or delayed entries due to technical problems.
III. Closing date for entries is 11th April 2022.
IV. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of Places Leisure, senior employees. A maximum of 24 winners will be chosen based on the entrant’s online form and their reasons for entering.
The Prize
I. Each winner will receive a free 12-month Premium Plus membership, which allows you to train at any Places Leisure site across the country. We’re also including free training support sessions with a fitness trainer, gym support, and a free starter kit to help with training.
II. Each winner will be required to remain in regular contact with Places Leisure throughout the 12-month period of free membership in order to document and promote their progress on Jogger’s Journey. Failure to fulfil this requirement may result in termination of free membership.
III. The prizes are as stated and there are no alternative prizes or cash substitutes.
IV. If a prize is declined, or if a winner forfeits the prize under these terms and conditions, then the Promoter may at its absolute discretion draw an alternative winner.
V. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes with another prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so.
VI. The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
Winner announcement
I. Winners will be notified privately by email week commencing 18th April 2022.
II. The Promoter will attempt to contact each winner by email up to two times.
III. If a winner does not respond to emails notifying them of their win within seven days of the second email, they will lose their right to the prize, and the Promoter reserves the right to choose and notify a new winner.
IV. The Promoter will not accept responsibility if contact details provided are incomplete or inaccurate.
Receipt of Prize
I. Please allow up to 14 days for delivery of the prize or alternative collection or delivery arrangements may be made through mutual agreement.
Data protection and publicity
I. Winners agree to participate in publicity accompanying or resulting from the competition. No additional compensation will be awarded for such promotional activities.
General
I. The Promoter reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions or cancel the competition at any stage in the event of circumstances arising beyond its reasonable control.
II. English law applies and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any proceedings in connection with this promotion.
