Places Leisure takes part in Swimathon 2022
Raising money for charity one length at a time
Looking to add a little interest and a boatload of fun to your swim routine? Ready to take your personal best to the next level? Well, then it’s time to enter the world’s largest annual fundraising swim – Swimathon!
Set to take place the weekend of 6th-8th May, Places Leisure is delighted to be hosting Swimathon events at 51 of its sites across the country.
Held annually at swimming pools across the country, Swimathon is open to everyone, regardless of age and ability. If you can swim, you can take part! There's a distance to suit all abilities. You can choose whether to swim 400m, 1.5k, 2.5k, 5k or triple 5k as an individual or 1.5k or 5k as part of a team. Since its inception, Swimathon has helped raise more than £55 million for a variety of nominated charities; current beneficiaries are Marie Curie and Cancer Research UK.
